Product design and development at Formswell Design of a 650ml and 850ml sports drink bottle for Asics. The bottles are manufactured in Sydney Australia and distributed globally.

Some of the biggest challenges faced when designing bottles is trying to find ways to elevate the aesthetics of the design through the manufacturing process. Blow moulding allows for unique forms to be produced that don’t change the tooling or per unit costs of the end product. This has allowed René to be creative in his approach to designing bottles and allowed him to push the boundaries of form/texture in his 3D models.
